Common Core Tests
There has been a hugely positive reception for our Common Core Workbooks set. Our 600-900 page huge tomes of activities for each grade level have made hundreds, perhaps thousands of happy teachers, and we know that where there are happy teachers, there are about 20 happy kids to go with them, right? One are where that activity and worksheet set was lacking was in the assessing of common core standards. It was not our goal to have tests in those common core workbooks before. Rather, they were a resource to support learning and practice of standards. However, due to popular demand, we’ve created and now released a companion set of workbooks for grades K-5.
These are not gigantic encyclopedic volumes like before. These are right-to-the-point, 100ish page volumes. Each standard has at least one test or assessment. Some are strict answer and grade assessments, while others are more performance-based with rubrics attached. Some standards are also rather broad, and the assessments could not be done properly with a single sheet of paper, so you might see Assessment A, B, and C. Easy-to-read answer keys are included.
One of the most popular features of these workbooks so far has been the progress reports. Each student can log their results (or you can do it for them) for each standard on a single page that lists standards by areas as well as how many points out of how many possible they scored. Fill it in and use it in those RTI meetings! Pull them out for conferences and retention or gifted meetings! This is a solid piece of data for your use!
Our Common Core Tests program is set up with a great set of assessments developed BY teachers FOR teachers.
